You’ve probably noticed it that each time you open your explorer or my computer that there is a slight delay before you actually see the folders. This is because Windows XP is standard set for automatically searching for printers and network locations. There is a Windows Trick how you can disable this and increase your browsing speed.
Here’s a Windows XP Tutorial for Quicker Folder Browsing.
-
First you need to open My Computer.
-
Click on Tools menu
-
Select Folder Options
-
Select the View tab.
-

-
Click Apply
-
Click Ok
-
And reboot your computer.
