In today’s Word Tip and Trick I want to show you how you can pimp up your Word document with a fancy drop cap letter.
A while back I showed you how to add a Drop Cap letter to your Word document. This is a simple trick for the use of normal letter. In today’s Word tutorial I’ll show you how insert a fancy Drop Cap letter. This isn’t a standard letter but a clip art object.
To Insert a fancy drop cap you’ll need to follow the next steps.
-
Go to the Insert Tab
-
And Select Clip art

-
Now you should first drag the fancy drop cap letter to the place where you want it insert into your document.
-
Resize the fancy letter if necessary, so that it fits with the rest of your document. You can do this by selecting the clip art and dragging its corners to its preferred size.
-
Now right click on the fancy clip art letter
-
And then click on Text Wrapping.
-
If you select tight your Fancy Drop Cap letter will be nicely in line with the text around it.

If you now feel that the spacing in between the clip art letter and the surrounding text is too big you can alter this by selecting the letter and right clicking on it. Then select Text Wrapping and More Layout Options. Now on the tab Text Wrapping you can set it to your preferences.
And that’s it, now you have a nice fancy looking drop cap. I hope you like this Word Tip and Trick and I’ll see you all tomorrow!!
