Is Screen tip is a small line of text seen when you hover of a link. You can not only see them in a Microsoft Word Document but you’ve probably seen them online many times. Here’s an example, just hover/move over the link of our Combining Text and Numbers in Excel article. You do need to have the latest browsers otherwise it isn’t supported.
Okay back to business; how do you create a Screen tip in a Microsoft Word Document.
Select with you mouse the piece of text or link for which you want to have a Screen tip.
Than right click and select Hyperlink.
Select screen tip in the upper right corner.
Enter the text you want to have displayed and click OK.
You can also edit the hyperlink if you want and click OK when you are finished.
