I hope you all had a great weekend and that you learned something last week with Excel tutorial week. In about a month we’ll have another Excel week but I don’t know this weeks theme yet so if you have any ideas or requests please feel free to drop me an e-mail.

I want to start this week with another Tip and Trick to Speed Up Vista. And were speeding up Vista by disabling the Windows Search Service.

Follow these steps to disable Windows Search Service.

Click on Start button.
Select Control Panel.
Click onSystem and Maintenance.
Then Administrative Tools.
Now double click on Services.

If you haven’t the disabled your User Account Control – UAC, you’ll see a pop-up asking you for permission.

Go To Windows Search.
Right click and select Properties.

Now click on Stop button to stop the indexing service.

Now select Disabled from the dropdown box.

Click Apply and OK and you’re done. This will save a lot of time and noise.
