Computer Tips, Tricks, Tweaks and Tutorials - Create a Nicer Looking Boot Screen in Windows Vista.

So far we’ve covered some very cool Vista Tips and Tricks. Some of them were for a better user experience like how to disable User Account Control – UAC, some were for handy Vista tools like the free Partition Software for MS Vista and other Vista Tips and Tricks we’ve published are for disabling some of the nasty Vista habits like how to loose the Vista login screen.

This weekend I was surfing in the Blogosphere and I landed on this blog called The TechieZone. This is a blog about Computer, Internet, Gadgets and Fun things and is a great blog to visit so drop by once you’ve read this article, you’ll have some fun there. Anyway they published an article about how to enable hidden boot screen in Windows Vista which works great especially when you’ve also disabled the Vista login screen. Although this isn’t a Vista Tip and Trick isn’t for speeding up Vista or for a better user experience; it’s just for the looks of your Vista Operating System.

Normally your boot screen looks like this which is pretty boring. But there is a way to make it a little more appealing for the eyes and this is without the use of any third party software (ill be covering this software to in a few weeks).

It is possible to have the Aurora screen as your boot screen and it isn’t hard to do. If you want to use this hidden boot screen you’ll need to take the following steps.

  • Go to start
  • Type in msconfig in the search box and press Enter.
  • Go to the boot tab
  • Checkmark No GUI boot
  • Press apply and OK and restart your system.

And everything should work now. I hope you all enjoyed this Vista Tip and Trick and don’t forget to drop by the The TechieZone.
