Yesterday we created a shortcut for your Windows Explorer and talked about how we can change the Windows Explorer start directory. This next Office Tip and Trick is kind of in line with this article. You have the ability to open your my document folder directly via your Windows start menu but what if: if you don’t have enough physical storage for you’re my documents? Okay you can change the location like we discussed in this article but you can also change the location of the My Documents folder on your system.
If you want to change the location of you’re My Documents folder on your system you need to take the next following simple steps.
-
Go to start
-
Right click on My Documents
-
And select Properties
-
Now you should click on Move in the new window.
-
Now select the new location and click OK.

Windows will ask if you want to move the current files from your My Documents folder to the new location. Select here yes or no. (Depends on your needs)
Now you should have a new My Documents folder with enough free space.
I hope you enjoyed this Office Tip and Trick.
