A Review of RemotePC; is it any Good??

Although we are a bit slow with the Tips and Tricks this week because of the blogs changes I do have a paid review to do before we continue with a our Tips & Tricks.
This review is for Remote PC software. Yes I can hear you think; What, another one?? Yes another one. I always used Vista’s standard remote software but now that I used this trail version for a couple of days now and I’m pleasantly surprised.
RemotePC is an remote access easy to use server/client based remote control program, that enables you to access and control your PC from anywhere in the world with some pretty cool features that are much better than the standard XP and Vista programs.
RemotePC requires software to be downloaded to both the target and local systems. As the whole process took only a couple of minutes, however, we didn’t find this too much of a trial.

RemotePC first prompts you to choose which PC to connect to. As with some of the other programs here, a host key is required to gain access to the machine, in addition to the usual username and password. If you want to access a PC remotely you’ll need to generate a host key beforehand, so a bit of extra planning is required.
I’ve tested the RemotePC Basic Plan v. 4.3.6 and it has some pretty cool futures above the standard Windows software.
-
Fast logins – You are connect within with the other pc within a few seconds.
-
Invite a guest - This feature lets you invite a guest with temporarily access
-
No IP address - Host computer does not require a static IP address.
-
Remote printing – This option is pretty great and very easy to work with.
A resume of all the testing and software futures; I don’t know if I would buy $4.95 a month subscription. I only use remote desktop when I’m traveling and when I had a day job (but that’s quite some time agoJ). Maybe if you are traveling a lot or when you use the Windows standard software a lot they might be a great catch with the features I’d mentioned.
You can download a trial version at remotepc.com and test it yourself.
Please note: this is a sponsored review.
