There are many file sharing programs out there. Some that you might have heard of are Ares, Kazaa, Morpheus etc… These are great and useful programs for downloading all kinds of content with other users of the software. Contrary to popular belief they are fairly safe - just don’t download any .exe files and make sure you have a virus scanning program on. There’s lots to download from these programs, but which is the best one? These are the qualities you should look for in a good P2P download program.
Ability to download all kinds of files, not just mp3s.
The networks that the best downloading programs use also support media other than just music files. These include files such as word and pdf documents, software programs and video files.
Huge user database
As the network of users grows, so does its number of files. Many of the programs tend to share each other’s networks so that they get bigger and downloading files becomes faster.
Quick downloading
Network size plays a part because the more people there are to download from, the faster you can download, but it also depends on how the program finds users to download from for you. Your download program should be able to keep the number of people you are downloading form high so you get the best download speed at all times.
Lastly it should be ad and popup free and very accessible. The last thing you want is a program that has a terrible user interface that is impossible to operate. It should be very easy to use and have good cross-platform compatibility.
