And it’s Wednesday which means it’s time for another Outlook Tutorial. It’s a pretty useful Trick and once you’ve set it, its set for life and you never have to worry about it. That is of course, till you disable it again.
By default, e-mail messages that you receive from people who are listed in your Contacts are considered safe by the outlook Junk E-mail Filter.
However, the people in your Contacts are not literally added to the Safe Senders List unless you send an e-mail to a contact while you have the “Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List” check box selected. And this is what I want to show you now.

Today I have something different lined up for you. It’s not an Office Tip or Trick… Well, actually it is, sort of. It’s not software related, that’s for sure.
I know from my statistics that this blog is mostly read during US office hours so I thought you might like this find.
Yesterday I was surfing the net, on the lookout for several good grammar sites, to see if I could improve my English. I already own a copy of some very good writing software but I want to improve the actual basics. I know from my own writing experience and from reading many other blogs and feeds that many people write with lots of errors in it.

In today’s Vista Tip and Trick I want to show you a new Windows feature which is new with the coming of Vista. This speed up trick is called Windows Ready Boost and works pretty simple but before I begin the actual (few) steps, I’ll explain in short what it is.
Adding system memory (RAM) is often the best way to improve a PC’s performance. However, upgrading memory can be difficult and costly, and some systems have limited memory expansion capabilities, making it impossible to add RAM.
Windows Vista provides a new way to add memory to your system which is called Ready Boost. Now you can use a USB flash drive, to improve performance without having to add additional memory to your system.

Okay, we have another reader’s question. I received an e-mail from Claudia with the following question.
“I am also a blogger and for almost every text job that I do on my blog, I use Word first. The problem is that I always get errors with the curly quotes. Isn’t there a handy fix that I can use for this?”
Yes there is and a pretty simple one too.
If you and want to lose the curly quote’s you’ll need to do this:
-
Click on the Office buttons.
-
Select Word options.

-
Go to the proofing section.
-
And now open the AutoCorrect options.
