Today I wanted to show you another Tip and Trick that is possible with the [download#1] that we used for the article about cleaning up the live messenger window.
It is practically the same sort of trick/method but now instead of cleaning up the Live Messenger we are now cleaning up the chat window a bit from annoying ads.
Before we continue I just have to say it again. You are officially not allowed to modify the Live Messenger. Using this patch is at for your own responsibility and we/I nor Microsoft can be held responsible if anything goes wrong. The patch worked great for me and I never had a problem with it other wise I wouldn’t have showed you. Nevertheless this patch isn’t created and supported by Microsoft.
Now that I said that; let’s tweak the Messenger;).
I want to have an ad free Messenger. Last time we cleaned up the live messenger window and now I want to make the chat window ad free.
First you need to close down Live messenger.

-
I presume you have grabbed the patch by now.
-
Open the program by double clicking on it.
-
You’ll see several options, just leave it on patch messenger and click on next.
-
Now click next till you are on the fifth options page.

-
On the fifth options page you select remove advertisement.
-
Now you’ll need to click on OK several times till you run into the Apply button on which you now need to click.

In the next weeks/months I’ll show you a lot more MSN/Live messenger tips and tricks and even tips and tricks that are supported by Microsoft;).
I hope you all enjoy the ad free messenger and have a nice Saturday! Talk to you on Monday!
