As many of you know I really hate unnecessary warning messages. Check out my post on how to disable the User Account Control. But our computer has more of these messages up his sleeve. Internet Explorer has also constant flow of annoying messages that you’ve lowered your Security settings and today I’ll show you how to disable these warning messages.

I can’t get this to work for me. When I type the message in to run it says it couldn’t be found.

Hi Ross, then it´s not configured yet on your system. Unfortunately explaining this goes beyond a quick commend but getting this to work requires at least one of two full articles with many steps.

I´ll write an article about it after the weekend. Hope you don´t mind.

gpedit.msc is not installed on Vista Home versions, so how do we get rid of that security message?

This worked for Windows Server 2008.  THANK YOU!
Now I just need to figure out how to get shortcut keys underlined again, and get rid of the breadcrumbs, and how to keep the +/- in the folder tree in Windows Explorerer.  Sigh, there is so much to fix that I think I will stay with XP as long as possible on my home computer.
Microsoft is so in-your-face about security that I probably went overboard with enabling every IE download setting possible just to try to get rid of their popup warnings.

Thanks!  What a relief.  I was just about to try Firefox or Safari or anything other than IE due to those annoying messages.

I tried this an unfortunately it didn't work, still getting the message This site has unspecified security risk do you want to continue. about every 5 seconds even when I am just in my inbox.
