As many of you know I really hate unnecessary warning messages. Check out my post on how to disable the User Account Control. But our computer has more of these messages up his sleeve. Internet Explorer has also constant flow of annoying messages that you’ve lowered your Security settings and today I’ll show you how to disable these warning messages.

 

How to Disable the Security Warning Messages in Internet Explorer.

 

  • Go to Start
  • And type in the search box gpedit.msc (in XP you’ll need use Run command)

 

Now if you didn’t disable the User Account Control - UAC you’ll need to click on allow.

  • Go to Local Computer Policy
  • Computer Configuration
  • Administrative Templates
  • Windows Components
  • Internet Explorer
  • Now double-click on “Turn off the Security Settings Check feature” and set it to Enabled.

And that’s it; you won’t see those annoying IE warning messages anymore.

    I can’t get this to work for me. When I type the message in to run it says it couldn’t be found.

    Hi Ross, then it´s not configured yet on your system. Unfortunately explaining this goes beyond a quick commend but getting this to work requires at least one of two full articles with many steps.

    I´ll write an article about it after the weekend. Hope you don´t mind.
