WhiteSmoke, is it for Real? My Review of WhiteSmoke Writing Software 2010.

WhiteSmoke Update: Whitesmoke added several new features with the latest update that are worth checking out. There’s a very cool Whitesmoke video with the new features right here. They are not mentioned in this Whitesmoke review.
I've been a problogger/writer/entrepreneur for quite some time now and the thing that I do most is writing. The last couple of years I've tried several programs from simple dictionary software to “speak to write” software. And the results of all this testing… Due to the lack of better; I'm still using the Microsoft Word dictionary.
Although I'm very intrigued with writing software, I'm also very aware that installing and using writing software can be a real nightmare. Dictionary and translation software might be the most difficult niche for software development because of the diversity and complexity of languages. With that in mind, the low purchase price and the 30 day refund policy I decided to give it a chance.
What is WhiteSmoke Writing Software?
“The All-in-One writing software”, “The All-in-One solution to help you write better, right now!” and “The Business Writing Version is the perfect choice for the office”. If I read this WhiteSmoke should be the perfect gift from heaven for my blogs and e-books, Hmm. However, when you look a bit further you'll also see some very remarkable WhiteSmoke Reviews by MSN, Softpedia, The Jerusalem Post and many many others. So I, the skeptic, started working with the software.
WhiteSmoke writing software is designed to help people improve their English or tailor their text to a specific style like legal, medical, business, creative or simply for fulfilling your daily general writing needs.
After I downloaded the software a short installation followed. Whitesmoke integrates with most text-based software running on your PC, including Word, Outlook and Messenger, allowing you to check and correct your text at the click of a button.
It works pretty much the same way as Microsoft Office's spelling and grammar tools only more comprehensive. You can activate the interface via the key F2 and by hitting the F2 key you'll immediately notice my only frustration about WhiteSmoke. When you activate the application via F2 you'll disable the text application that you have running until you tell it to either accept or cancel the proposed changes.
All the reviews that I've been reading about WhiteSmoke tell me that the program is ideal for students that need to work on their English. That it is ideal for business use, whether it is for writing letters, books, e-mails and even that it is great for MSN use.
My opinion about Whitesmoke; I can fully understand why the NBC testimonial says that "WhiteSmoke is unequalled in its field." and that CNN Business 2.0 magazine says that WhiteSmoke is "Ranked #5 in the Top 31 Business Ideas in the World.".
If you really want to improve your writing skills and communications then you should absolutely buy WhiteSmoke and give it a try. WhiteSmoke all-in-one writing software is absolutely worth his price. You can instantly download WhiteSmoke right here.

bought whitesmoke in 2008 and have seen the upgrade results. It works and is easy to use, grammar help and explanations are a cinch.
I have used whitesmoke for the past year and have seen the updates as I use the software. It really is a product that improves itself and if there are bugs you can email them, and they will work it out. For a software taht can read and check for grammar I say it does a good job. But you have to realize that a computer can’t do a person’s job (at least not yet.)
Good for catching mistakes and making it easy to fix.
I am trying out the latest version of WhiteSmoke and am really impressed.
So many mistakes of mine were missed by other software programs, but here, all picked up and corrected.
As I type, I am correcting and specially using paragraphs and spaces.
The formatting is not lost.
So happy. It’s great. (the comment is in answer to Shawn’s comment above.)
Whitesmoke has developed the best on-line corrections and English upgrade software. I do believe that they are coming up with a special software for Dyslexics. Well, if the program is anything like the original software, I am sure that all the users will benefit greatly
Lets hold hands and stay in touch.
I am very interested in the Dyslexic aspect of the software.
If anyone could throw some light on the point where I can download and use the software, I would be really happy. I do understand that this is going to be another of Whitesmoke’s great breakthroughs.
Is the dyslectic site up and running yet? I am very interested in that aspect of the site since I have 2 dyslectic boys and they could use such a program when writing.
I know the WhiteSmoke software and use it all the time.
I especially enjoy the built-in templates that cover most subjects needed, e.g help in writing c.v’s, celebration cards, condolence, business, community and many other.
I have been working with WhiteSmoke for years and I’m really happy with it.
I’m from Germany and although my speech isn’t that good my writing is almost perfect.
I have used WhiteSmoke 2008 for about two months now. My opinion is mixed. While this program is fantastic for writers with mediocre to poor English skills, I am not entirely sure it is that useful for my skill level. Although it is certainly better than anything included with Word, it is not going to find every grammatical error. I use it more for confirmation of my writing, rather than for correcting.
The interface is truly slick… very well designed. However, the 2008 version does seem to have one bug and that is if one makes a correction in Word 2007 and then apply the correction, the original Word 2007 formatting is lost.

I am also very interested in any site for people with dyslexia.
I have version 2010 and it has been a great help. I downloaded it to help me with my school work since I’m taking classes at Indiana State University. The proofreading help is really good, its defanately made my teacher happier
I’m now using WS for about 2 months or so and I’m really pleased with it. Of course I don’t know how the previous versions worked but the 2010 version is pretty amazing. Thanks for the review!

My writing problems have been solved. I am dyslexic and was embarrassed with the stuff I was sending out. Not any more.
No more spelling mistakes. Punctuation is all done for me and the I like the tips of the day, can learn a lot from them.
Go for it.
Thanks Vincent, I'm using it for about a month now and its indeed a great tool, thanks for pointing it out.

I am thinking about a doctorate program and need help with my writing can WhiteSmoke help in this area of academic endeavor?
@Regina It will help you for sure. I'm using Whitesmoke for the 3th year and I'm really pleased with it.
I am persuing PhD and need help with my writing can WhiteSmoke help in this area of academic endeavor? More over, I am visually handicap , does jaws (screen reading software) support white smoke?
Does white smoke support screen reading software, i am 100% visually impaired.
Good or bad, I'm addicted to it. I would be totally freaked to send a letter that WS hasn't scanned, but that's just what happens with good software, you get dependent on them
so bottom line I'd say addictive – but good for you
Oh and got their Translator too, though I only use it to pretend I learned French when I write my cousin emails (she's in France obviously).
But anyway, so far – she's fooled

I'm addicted to it too! Love it!
