Today I don’t have an Outlook tutorial as usual, well I had one but I’m saving it for next week. Today I want to write about something really excited and personal.

 

Yesterday evening I was sitting in the garden with my father in-law drinking a beer and we were talking about my blogs and my blogging career. His daughter and I have big future plans and one of those plans is to move abroad somewhere sunny. Since it is a pretty big decision to move to the other side of the world he was now curious to know if me working all those hours on my blogs is paying off. I have to add to that I missed a night of sleep the night before yesterday. I was working the whole night, I’ll explain why in a minute.

 

Most of you know that I have a production company called Promedia Blogging and that I am a beginner problogger. I told my father in-law that my biggest thrill is the interaction with others that I have because of my blogs and I told him that Promedia is a not our primary thing and that we will only take on orders, till we have grown enough with our blogs to live from that.

 

It’s kinda funny, my father in-law isn’t “digital” minded; he thought at first that his daughter and I where building blocks on the internet. But now he knows what blogging is and that blogging takes time before you can be successful. Trust me; if you want to get rich quick, don’t take up a blogging career:).

 

So we were talking and he asked me what my goals are and how I see the development of our network.

 

I told him that I have several goals but the primary goal related to the World of office was to reach 150.000 unique visitors in the month June. I also told him about another dream I’ve had and that was to reach 10.000 visitors in one day. I never had 10.000 unique visitors on one day (on any of my blogs or sites). I had a couple of day’s on the World of Office were I had just a bit more than 8000 unique visitors but never more then 10.000.

 

So I told him this and he was excited, he told me he believed in me and in us, as a couple. Since I didn’t sleep the night before I went home around 11.30pm (2 minute walk) and just before I wanted to go to bed I decided to check my statistics once more (I’m a statistic junky). 

 

This is when I saw something incredible that I just couldn’t believe. Yesterday I reached for the first time ever with one of my blogs or sites more than 10.000 unique visitors.

 

Yesterday The World of Office had 12.678 unique visitors!!

 

You can understand that I went completely nuts and that I rechecked my statistics and used bandwidth several times, I was simple euphoric.  I couldn’t sleep anymore and early this morning around 5 am I finally fell asleep, now that I have slept I’m still a bit euphoric. LOL

 

Blogging looks easy but if you have a dream that you want to pursue and things aren’t going like you want, then blogging can be really frustrating.

 

The title of this article is 12.678 + 1 times thank you. But in fact it’s more then 12.678 + 1 time’s thank you.

 

The 12.678 are of course all of you guys, thank you. I can only say that you mean the world to me and I get so much joy of reading your e-mails and hearing about your life. Thank you!!

 

The 1 is my princess Lonneke, thank you beautiful for your unconditional love and trust in me. You rock my world;)!!

 

And all the others are my friends, family and bloggers of whom I’ve learned so much and of course also all the advertisers that made this all possible. Thanks guys!

 

This was a huge milestone for me, I’m so excited and I can’t wait what the future will bring us.

    Thanks guys, appreciate it.

    And I wish I had these numbers too and that this was normal but it looks like the visitors count today will be a bit more than the usual rate, looks like that everything is back to normal. Since a few weeks my normal count is around 4000 unique’s with peaks of 7000 per day (which I think is also pretty amazing).

    I didn’t mention this but most of my traffic yesterday came from several social sites. The flood started Monday evening and unfortunately most of this traffic is gone now.
