It’s Friday and I want to close this week with a Vista Tip Trick. Vista is a pretty great system but a heavy system; it asks a lot of power. There are most likely a lot of Windows features running on your computer that you don’t need. In today’s tutorial I want to show you how you can disable those unnecessary Windows features.
For disabling those unnecessary Windows Features you’ll need to take the following steps.
-
Go to start
-
Open your Control Panel
-
Click on Programs
-
And select Programs and Features
-
Now click on Turn Windows features on or off
If you haven’t the disabled your User Account Control – UAC, you’ll see a pop-up asking you for permission.
-
Now wait for the new window to be fully loaded, this can take some time.
Now select the options that you want to have disabled. If you hover over it you can see the description. I disabled the Fax and scan options and the games since the only game I play is poker.

-
And click OK and Windows will disable all your unnecessary features. This can take a while.
-
Now you only need to reboot but then all your unnecessary features are disabled.
Now Vista should be a bit quicker. I hope you liked this Vista Tip and Trick and I trust see you here on Monday with the some other cool Tips and Tricks. Have a nice weekend!!
