This next Excel Tip and Trick is a pretty cool one and can save you a lot of time. If you are working in a Excel spreadsheet you want it to look nice. But making it nice looking can be a time consuming operation if you don’t do it right. The best and most easy way to do this is to use the Format Painter tool.

I made a small table that I’m using here as an example.

For this example I’m now only formatting cell A1

Now I want to same formatting as cell A1 on cell B1.

  • To do this you need to click on cell A1.
  • Click on Format Painter
  • And click on Cell B2

Now this is for one cell.

If you want to format Cell B1 and C1

  • you need to click on cell A1.
  • Click on Format Painter
  • And drag the cursor from cell B1 to C1.
