Today’s Microsoft Excel Formula is an addition to several others that we discussed earlier. We talked about an Excel Formula for avoiding duplicate content, I showed you how to generate a column with only unique entries in it and I also showed you how to create a formula to count all the cells with data in it. Today’s MS Excel Tip and Trick is kind of similar to the last one.
If you don’t want to create a column with only unique data then it’s also possible to count all the cells with unique data in it.
A formula to count all the Excel cells with unique data or names in it.
-
First you need to highlight your entries

-
Then select Cell A11
-
And type in this formula =SUM(IF(A1:A10<>"";1/COUNTIF(A1:A10;A1:A10)))

-
Then click on CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER

And you’re done; I hope you all have enjoyed this Excel Tip and Trick; I’ll talk to you all tomorrow.
