The next Excel Tip and Trick is another very useful one. As I was saying last week to one of our loyal readers (Hi Sandie) that Microsoft Excel is really a great program and I use it for practically anything.
The only possible problem is that it might have too many options. And because of this it might happen that for “simple” tasks you can’t find the right formula. And that’s why I’m here;). Today I want to talk to you about an Excel Tip and Trick that is in line with the formulas that I discussed in the articles to count the empty cells in Excel and the article were we counted all the Excel cells with text in them.
An Excel Tip and Trick to Count All the Cell Containing Data.
In this Excel Tutorial we are using the Excel Function COUNTA.
-
First you need to place the cursor in Cell B1
-
Now type in the Formula =COUNTA(A1:A13)
-
And Press Enter.

And that’s it, as you can see it doesn’t have to be difficult.
In this example I also could have sorted the complete row. If you want to count all the Cells with data in the complete row you can use the formula =COUNTA(A:A).
I hope you all liked this Excel Tip and Trick and ill talk to you all tomorrow.
