I Need Your Help, This Site is Blocked…

I just received an e-mail that my contact page is blocked by websense. If this is the case please contact me via vincent at promedia-blogging.com.

I don’t have a Tip or Trick for you today because I want to ask you something. Couple of days ago I received an e-mail from a reader in the US asking me this.

“ Your world of office tips site is blocked by [company name] and I’m trying to figure out why. Any idea?”

Although this is the first time I’ve heard of being blocked by a company network, it has been on my mind all day.

This nice man asked around in his organization and found out that I’m blocked because of malicious content; the once of you who are with me from the early days know that this site only publish useful and helpful computer Tips and Tricks and doesn’t have anything to do with malicious content or warez software.

Yes, I am a problogger and I have multiple blogs and sites but I have no other virtual real estate that I’m more proud of than the World of Office!! I have several sites but there isn’t a blog that I spend more time on than the WO and I always do my upmost best to provide helpful and useful tips and tricks and I love talking to everyone who sends me an e-mail.

Because of this blog being my pride and joy, it’s really bugging me and I can’t stop thinking about it. The only reason I can come up with is that this IP is blocked at this company. This website is placed on a shared server from Bluehost and it’s hosted with many many other sites (which are not mine) on the same IP.

Because of this I want to ask you something. I know from my statistics that this blog is mostly read during US office hours and I want to ask you if you could forward this URL or feed to another location then yours. This could be your company’s subsidiary or simply to the business e-mail addresses of your friends. And most important is that I would like to ask you if you could let me know if you’ve noticed something like this yourself. Because of the huge growth of The World of Office I was already intending to buy my own server but now I’m seriously considering to speed up this process.

Could you please help me out by commenting here or by sending me an e-mail?
