This XP Tip and Trick is a pretty cool one and it’s quite easy too. It’s very easy to set up your own slideshow screensaver with the transition effects in Windows XP
Follow this small Windows XP tutorial to set up your own personal Slideshow Screensaver.
• Right click on your desktop.
• Click on Properties.
• And select the screensaver tab.
• Now select from the drop down menu My Pictures Slideshow.
• Now click on Settings.
• Here you can select the default folder and which transition effects you want to use in-between pictures.
Customize Windows XP; display your name in the taskbar.

Remove / Disable the Shortcut Arrow From Your Desktop Icons.
If you have a great looking wallpaper and a nice theme to work with than you probably don’t want to see the arrows on your desktop shortcuts. They are just not the most pretty looking things to look at on your desktop.

If you want to remove the arrows in Windows XP from your desktop icons you’ll need to take the following steps.

And Type in regedit and click OK

Type in “compmgmt.msc” (without the “”) and click on OK or press enter.

Click on Storage – Disk Management and you’ll see your hard disks.
Change the My Documents Location.
