Speed Up Vista by Disabling Aero.
Hi folks, I hope you all had a great weekend!! And I hope that you all are looking forward for some cool computer tips and tricks because we have some special ones lined up for you this week.
Monday is a day that you take it a bit slower than usual, at least that was it for me when I was still workingJ. Today where taking a bit slower with this next Vista Tip which isn’t useful for all of us. I’ve never used because I love the Vista graphics. But if you have a somewhat slower pc and don’t care about your graphics this is a very useful tip. Vista Aero can take up easily 15% of your CPU and RAM usage. Of course this depends on your specs but it will slow always slow down your system no matter what.

Change the Size of the Vista Desktop Icons.
Here’s a cool Vista Trick that I know you’ll love. One of the visual changes in vista is that the desktop Icons are much bigger than they were in Windows XP. You’ll either love this or you’ll hate this.
What most people don’t know is that it’s really easy to change the size of these desktop icons.
-
All you have to do change the desktop icon size in Vista is minimize all your programs.

Make the Text in Vista Better Readable.
The next Tip and Trick is a quick one for Vista.
The normal and default text size in Vista is 96 DPI. But as most things in Vista this is pretty easy to adjust. Without using a customized setting you can adjust it to 120 DPI. If you want to use the more readable 120 DPI scale then you’ll need to take the following steps.
Make the Text in Vista Better Readable.
-
Right click on your desktop.
-
Select Personalize.
-
Choose Adjust font size (DPI).
If you haven’t the disabled your User Account Control – UAC, you’ll see a pop-up asking you for permission.

Opening a Location or Webpage much Faster with the Address Bar.
Most people open a webpage with double clicking the IE button on their desktop or via start. Then when IE starts you’ll first get your default homepage and then you’ll have to open the page that you really want. The same goes for a location on your hard disk on in your network. As you can understand; this takes up unnecessary time. There is a method in Microsoft XP and Vista to really speed this up.
To open up a Location or Webpage with the address bar you’ll need to take the following steps.
-
First you’ll need to right click on a blank area of your taskbar.
-
The shortcut menu will open.
