Outlook Optimizing Tutorials nr.5 Reset your Toolbar.
This is the fifth week that we are customizing Microsoft Outlook. In this series we have till now only talked about the toolbar because this is probably the most essential part for using Outlook. Let’s recap; what have we talked about.
The first week we added and removed buttons from our toolbar. In the second week we created a button for sending an e-mail with an already inserted receiver and we arranged the toolbar with the use of separators in the third week and last week we talked about creating an Outlook toolbar button for opening a program.
Now that we have been so active with the toolbar there’s a big change that you might have done something wrong or that you want to undo these changes. And to accomplish this is pretty simple.
Outlook Optimizing Tutorials nr.4: Create an Outlook toolbar button for opening a program.
And also in this week’s tutorial I’m sticking with some tips for your toolbar use. In the last couple of weeks we added and removed buttons from our toolbar, we’ve created a button for sending an e-mail with an already inserted receiver and we arranged the toolbar with the use of adding separators to it.
These 3 Outlook tutorials cover most of the things you’ll need for the toolbar, the only thing missing now is a tutorial for adding buttons to your toolbar that are opening programs and that is what I want to show you now.

This is how my toolbar looks like now.
Outlook Optimizing Tutorials nr.3: Arrange and Add Separator to your Toolbar.
It’s Wednesday and it’s time for another Outlook tutorial. The first two where about Adding and Removing Buttons From Your Toolbar and how to create a Button for Generating Already Addressed E-mails.
Today I want to show you how you can arrange them and how you can group them the way you want them to be.
Take the following steps to arrange and add separators to your toolbar.
Mine looks like this now.

First you’ll need to place your toolbar in edit mode by right clicking on a empty spot in your toolbar.
Outlook Optimizing Tutorials nr.2: a Button for Generating Already Addressed E-mails.
We started last Wednesday with sequence of tutorials on how to optimize Microsoft Outlook. The one we’ve talked about last week was about how to Add or Remove buttons from your toolbar.
I’ve added several buttons; some of them where the mark as read, mark as unread and the office clipboard button. I’ve also added buttons for making a note, a contact card and an appointment. This way I don’t have to leave my mailbox for creating an appointment or a note.
Today where taking the buttons a bit further. Now I’ll show you how you can have a toolbar button work for you. We made while back in 2007 a desktop icon that once clicked on created an e-mail with (multiple) receivers. Today I’ll show you how can have the same button but then in your toolbar.
Outlook Optimizing Tutorials nr.1: Adding and Removing Buttons From Your Toolbar.
Outlook automatically starts when I start up my system and I always have it open on one of my monitors. Microsoft Outlook is the program that I use most often and I’m not the only one. Without sounding too drastic: if I didn’t have MS Outlook my life would be a lot more complicated. My life behind the computer that is;). And because of that we use it so much we are going to publish a series for customizing Outlook so that each individual get’s the most out of his settings. I will start today and try to do it each Wednesday and it ill be for the next ??? months.

Using Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Later as Your RSS Reader.
Just a short message about something cool that I was reading this morning that might be interested for you.
Most of you know that Microsoft Outlook 2007 can be used as an RSS Reader and if you have Outlook 2007 then you are probably using it since it really is a great reader. This morning I was reading on one of the webmaster forums that using Outlook as an RSS reader isn’t limited to 2007 users. If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later you can go to the Newsgator website and download a free Newsgator inbox.
