A while back I was talking with some online entrepreneurs about how they managed their incoming mails, newsletters and RSS feeds. We talked about this because I looked at all the different email addresses that I had and it seems that I have more than 200 different email addresses. I knew that I had many addresses because of all the websites I own but this really surprised me. Most of these email addresses are filed and/or being forwarded to a primary address and on addresses like webmaster@ or admin@, I rarely receive emails.

How To Receive your Twitter Messages in MS Outlook.

There are some very useful Twitter applications to keep track of your send and received Twitter updates.

But if you want to keep up to date with your messages you need to either have your browser open all day with Twitter.com or you need install a desktop application like TweetDeck.

But this isn’t necessary anymore since you probably have Outlook opened all day. Today I installed a pretty cool add-on for MS Outlook called OutTwit.

Some of the features are:

Update your Twitter status directly from Outlook.
Receive your friend updates in Outlook.
Archive, manage, group and search your tweets the same way you manage your email (details).
Group tweets by sender, topic, etc using the Search feature

He read the article how to disable the screen tips in MS Word and wondered if there was a quick trick like this for MS Outlook too. I hope I’ve understood it and there is indeed a quick trick.

Go to the Tools menu
Select Customize
Go to the Options tab
And uncheck the box for Show ScreenTips on toolbars

Spam the Spammers in Outlook with an Auto Reply Mail.

I know it has been a bit silent on the World of Office but we are picking up the old pace shortly. Till then we will randomly post an article or two;).

Fortunately I have been able to keep my mail box pretty clean from Spam Mail. I’m really careful where I drop my mail address and where I sign up. I even have a gmail spam address for dubious sign ups and I only open this mail online and not in my Outlook.

How to Automatically Organize Incoming Emails.

I want to show you in today’s Tip and Trick one of the most underrated parts of Microsoft Outlook. Well underrated might not be the right term, maybe overlooked is better suited. Microsoft Outlook has a great option and that is the ability for creating rules to manage your e-mail.

I’m going to take my mailbox as an example; I have many email addresses coming in to my Unread Mailbox that I need to organize in many different mail folders like the mailboxes of my customers, my friends but also per mail account and per website.

If I need to manually file each individual incoming email than this would take up a lot of time and Outlook is all about organizing your workflow.

How to Insert or Type a Degree Symbol.

There are more than one ways to insert a Degree ° Symbol into your document.
